City District 4 Election is Tuesday; Do You Know Where to Vote?

Reading Time: < 1 minute

The special election for San Diego City Council District No. 4 is tomorrow, but you don’t have to wait that long to find your polling place.

The location is listed on the back of the Sample Ballot and Voter Information Pamphlet sent to your home or you can use the polling place locator online. Type in your address and click submit to find your neighborhood polling place. You can also view your sample ballot online. The election is being held to fill a vacancy created when the elected councilmember for that district resigned to take another position.

Despite the new redistricting boundaries, State law requires that the 2001-2010 district boundaries be used to fill this vacancy because those voters elected the original candidate. Voters who have questions on whether they live within the former boundaries can check here or call 858- 565-5800 or 1-800-696-0136.

If you vote-by-mail but haven’t sent your ballot yet, you will need to drop off your ballot at any polling place in San Diego County or the Registrar of Voters office any time between  7 a.m. and  8 p.m. tomorrow. The office is located at 5201 Ruffin Road, Suite I, in Kearny Mesa at the corner of Clairemont Mesa Boulevard and Ruffin Road. A postmark will not be acceptable.

For voters who need language assistance, election materials are also available in Spanish, Filipino, Vietnamese, and Chinese.

To get more information about voting, visit sdvote.com or call (858) 565-5800.
