Woo Hoo or Oh No!

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Spring break is here for some local school children and naturally, they couldn’t be happier than to get a break from classes and the daily grind of homework.

But working parents? They’re wondering what to do with their kids while school is out. For many, taking the week off isn’t an option much less taking two weeks off.

County Parks has a solution that will keep kids happy and make their parents smile too. County Parks’ Fallbrook and Spring Valley Community Centers are offering spring vacation day camps. Both of the day camps run from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. so most parents can drop off their children before work and pick them up afterward without taking any time off.

Moms and Dads have the option of signing up their little ones for the whole week or just for a day. Prices for the week range from $70 to $110 depending on the location and the week. Day rates are $30.

The children just need to bring snacks, a sack lunch and a drink. Activities include games, sports, healthy cooking, arts and crafts, science and more. Makes you want to be a kid again!

The Spring Valley Community Center camp will run March 25 to March 29 and again from April 2 to April 5. The Fallbrook Community Center camp will run from April 1 to April 5. Drop-ins are welcome!

To make reservations, call the Fallbrook Community Center at (760) 728-1671 or the Spring Valley Community Center at (619) 479-1832.
