Computer Giveaway Benefits Children in Foster Care

The County of San Diego is once again teaming up with the San Diego County Futures Foundation to brighten the holidays for local children in foster care. Families who open their homes to local children in foster care, also known as resource families, were invited to pick up one of 100 free computers.

The computers, which were formerly used by County employees, are refurbished by the San Diego County Futures Foundation before they are distributed to the families.

The Computers for Resource Families Program has provided more than 4,000 refurbished County-owned computers to resource families since former San Diego County Supervisor Greg Cox started the initiative in 2001.
