County Elected Officials Sworn In

Six San Diego County elected leaders took their oaths of office today reaffirming their pledges to serve and protect the public.

All incumbents, the six officials won new terms in the June Primary Election.

In the ceremony at the County Administration Center, two San Diego County Supervisors, Ron Roberts, District 4, and Bill Horn, District 5, were sworn in for sixth terms. Roberts was first elected to the Board of Supervisors in 1994, Horn in 1995.

The two will join Supervisors Greg Cox, Dianne Jacob, and Dave Roberts to oversee the $5 billion County budget and more than 17,000 County employees.

Top law enforcement officials Sheriff Bill Gore, who has served five years as Sheriff, and District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis, who first took office in 2003, were also sworn in.

County Assessor/Recorder/County Clerk Ernie Dronenburg, who has served in the three roles for four years, and Treasurer-Tax Collector Dan McAllister, who has served 12 years, also took their oaths.
