Get Egg-cited for Spring Events at County Parks

Wildflowers are blooming and the weather is warming up. Hop over to a County park for some springtime fun! County Parks and Recreation is hosting six egg hunts across the region this month.

All hunts are free and BYOB—Bring your own basket.

Spring Eggstravaganza:

San Dieguito County Park, 1628 Lomas Santa Fe Dr., Del Mar, 760-755-2386

  • 10 a.m. – noon, April 8

El Monte County Park, 15805 El Monte Rd., Lakeside, 619-443-1474

  • 10 a.m. – noon, April 9
  • Egg hunt at 11 a.m.

Dos Picos County Park, 17953 Dos Picos Rd., Ramona, 760-789-2220

  • 10 – 11 a.m., April 15
  • Egg hunters arrive by 10 a.m.

Louis A. Stelzer County Park, 11470 Wildcat Canyon Rd., Lakeside, 619-561-0580

  • 10 a.m. – noon, April 15
  • Egg hunt at 10 a.m.

Fuel up for the hunt! Two County Parks’ community centers will host egg hunts with pancake breakfasts:

Fallbrook Community Center, 341 Heald Ave., Fallbrook, 760-728-1671

  • Pancake breakfast at 8 a.m. with the egg hunt starting promptly at 10:30 a.m., April 15
  • Ages 12 and up: $5
  • Children up to 11: $4

Spring is a wonderful time to visit San Diego County’s 120+ parks, preserves, historic sites, sports complexes and community centers across 50,000 acres of land. The weather is typically cooler making it great for a hike, bike ride, horseback ride, picnic or camping stay.
