Pets of the Week – Pip and Calico

Pip and Calico

Two handsome housemates are up for grabs at the County’s animal care facility in Carlsbad. You can get just one or take them both – they’re your typical cats in that they don’t seem to mind one way or another!

Pip is a 4-year-old black and white long hair cat and his former owner says this guy is super affectionate. He likes to roll over and get belly rubs. He’s also intensely curious and an empty box will fascinate him for hours.

Calico is another long-haired cat and he’s 5 years old. He’s named for Calico Ghost Town in San Bernardino because that’s where he was found. He can be a little standoffish at first but once he knows you he’s all in. He’ll even lie on your chest while you sleep.

If you’d like to meet Pip and Calico, stop by our animal care facility in Carlsbad anytime between 9:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. You’ll find us at 2481 Palomar Airport Road.

If you come before Thursday, you can even name your own price. Animal Services has a special on adoption fees for all dogs and cats the rest of the month. Whatever price you name will include vaccinations plus a free veterinary exam within the first 10 days.
