No one can predict the future, but local experts gave their best educated guesses Wednesday on what to expect from San Diego County’s economy in 2020. They spoke at the 36th Annual Economic Roundtable at the University of San Diego. Watch the full event above.

The roundtable is the longest-running, local economic forecasting event in the region. County Board of Supervisors Chairman Greg Cox gave the opening remarks and Chris Thornberg of Beacon Economics made the keynote address.

USD School of Business Associate Professor of Economics Ryan Ratcliff acted as the moderator for a panel discussion on our economic future. The experts were:

  • Eduardo Velasquez, Research Director, Economic Development, San Diego Regional Economic Development Corp
  • Ray Major, Chief Economist, SANDAG
