Reading Time: < 1 minute

What does the San Diego County economy look like for 2016 and beyond? Hear about the outlook from local experts at the 32nd annual San Diego County Economic Roundtable at the University of San Diego’s Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice on Thursday, Jan. 14.

Panelists will examine and discuss traditional indicators along with workforce development, the innovation economy, and even the craft beer and specialty beverage industry, which is bubbling up across San Diego County. These experts will provide their perspective and predictions on what we can expect in the next 12 months.

The forum kicks off at 8:30 a.m. with opening remarks from County Board of Supervisors Chairman Ron Roberts. The roundtable is the longest-running free economic forecasting event for San Diego County.

“The overall health of San Diego County’s economy impacts each and every resident,” said Roberts. “Our diverse and knowledgeable panelists will provide valuable analysis of the current trends and insight on the upcoming year.”

The panelists are:

  • Marney Cox, chief economist, SANDAG
  • Ryan Ratcliff, associate professor of economics, USD School of Business Administration
  • Tina Ngo Bartel, director of business programs and research, San Diego Workforce Partnership
  • Navrina Singh, director of project management, Qualcomm
