VIDEO: Gear Up for Skating at Lindo Lake

Reading Time: < 1 minute

“The one thing I like about skateboarding is that you really have artistic freedom to kind of show your own style and how you skateboard.”

But park ranger Josh Bugiel, who’s been skating since he was 14, says an important thing to bring with your artistic slides and grinds is your safety gear.

“Just recently, a very, very good friend of the community passed away and it was from a head injury,” Bugiel said. “He wasn’t wearing his helmet.”

Bugiel insists wearing your protective gear should always be your number one priority. Plus, it’s the rules over at Lindo Lake skate park in Lakeside.
