Fall Related Emergency Visits for Older Adults Continue to Climb

As part of Fall Prevention Awareness Week, the County’s Aging & Independence Services is urging older adults and caregivers to make time to identify their fall risks. While slippery surfaces and uneven sidewalks are well known dangers, everyday items such as loose rugs, poorly lit hallways and hard-to reach objects can also contribute to serious injuries at home.
