September is National Recovery Month, a time to increase awareness and understanding of mental and substance use disorders and celebrate the people who have overcome them.
Recovery Happens event will take place Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Liberty Station NTC Park, 2455 Cushing Road.
Hundreds of people celebrated being drug-free during the County’s annual Recovery Happens event this past weekend. The event, sponsored by the San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency and its many prevention and treatment partners, commemorates September as National Recovery Month. Participants were joined by families and friends in celebration of clean and sober living.
