Federal Government Shut Down Could Delay CalFresh Benefits

County Hosts Community Flu Events With Free Vaccinations

Fall and flu go hand-in-hand, and that means soon the coughing, sniffling and sneezing will begin. The first cost-free flu vaccination event was Tuesday afternoon at the Spring Valley Casa de Oro Library, where a steady stream of clients showed up ready to roll up their sleeves.

County Offering Two No-Cost Flu Vaccination Events This Week

Care Act Celebrates 11 New Graduates

It has been two years since the Community Assistance, Recovery and Empowerment (CARE) Act program began enrolling participants, and the number of success stories is growing. A total of 149 CARE Agreements have been put in place and there have been 23 graduations. Recently, 11 participants all celebrated their graduation on the same day.

Tuberculosis Exposure Reported at Innovation High School in Chula Vista

The County’s Tuberculosis Prevention and Care Program, in collaboration with Innovation High School at 310 Broadway, Chula Vista CA 91910, are working to notify students and staff who were potentially exposed to tuberculosis (TB) at Innovation High School from June 1, 2025 to Sept. 4, 2025.
