In the early weeks of the pandemic, testing for COVID-19 was unchartered territory. Reputable and reliable test kits had to be identified and the County had to compete with other counties, states and countries to get them. The tests were used sparingly, and when the Public Health Lab processed thirty tests a day, it was big accomplishment.
Now, just 9 months later, a lot has changed. The County has tested hundreds of thousands of people and some of our testing sites are doing more than a thousand COVID tests a day.
