It looks like a flat dirt lot now, but eventually It looks like a flat dirt lot now, but eventually hooves will be stomping all over this area. Work has started on the County's first-ever equestrian facility and it's buzzing with activity.

The land where the Lakeside Equestrian Facility will be built is owned by both the County and the City of San Diego and involves multiple utility partners. Permitting and easement requests are underway, along with the initial work for power, water and sewer connections. 

The 13.88-acre park has already been cleared of debris and is ready for grading, later this Spring. This is a great new amenity for our County Parks system with a grand opening expected in early 2022!
