Reading Time: < 1 minute

Attend a lively Day of the Dead celebration at historical Rancho Guajome Adobe. A Dia de los Muertos cultural celebration with traditional music, dancing, arts and crafts, and food will be held in Vista on Saturday, Oct. 29 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Dia de los Muertos is 3,000-year-old tradition celebrated in Mexico and other parts of the world. Once a year, celebrants honor relatives who have passed away by leaving gifts of foods, beverages, flowers and more at colorful altars.

Visitors to the adobe can take self-guided tours of the restored 7,000-square-foot adobe house where displays will be set up throughout 22 rooms.

Outside, traditional dancing and live music will entertain visitors. Kids can participate in costume contests and take part in hands-on activities like making ghosts and other crafts.

Admission is free for children under 3 years of age, $2 for guests ages 4 to 12, and $4 for ages 13 and up. Parking is free.

The park is located at 2210 North Santa Fe Ave. in Vista.
