Heroes of all ages laced up and ran or walked in the fifth annual Live Well San Diego 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run Sunday at the Waterfront Park.
Even pets and strollers got in on the action, which benefited the San Diego Blood Bank and supports a healthy, safe and thriving San Diego County.
This year’s event celebrated the hero in all of us with a superhero-themed race and activities throughout the morning that included family-friendly fun: face painting and a bounce house, food trucks, live music and interaction with local heroes from our military, police and fire.
An expo was held in conjunction, where racers could enjoy free healthy snacks and beverages, fitness classes, dancing and more.
