Leaving San Diego Riverbed for a New Home

A $17 million grant to the county from the state’s Encampment Resolution Fund to resolve encampments in the riverbed is creating results. Expanded outreach is helping people experiencing homelessness find safe and stable housing and connect to supportive services while the riverbed area is being cleaned up.

County Reports First Locally Acquired Dengue Case

The County is investigating the first ever case of locally acquired dengue. The Escondido resident who became sick with dengue did not travel to an area where the mosquito transmitted illness is common. No additional locally acquired cases have been identified at this time.
