Borelli was given the school’s Jan Merritt Leadership Award, which goes to individuals who use creativity and innovation to support students with disabilities.

It takes a special person to give the gift of time and the County of San Diego is lucky enough to have nearly 5,000 of them. Their contribution is so great, more than $16 million worth of County volunteer services went to the region’s residents this past year. The Board of Supervisors honored these volunteers prior to its regular board meeting on Tuesday.
